Aldehyde-free disinfection and cleaning agent for medical instruments
STERISEPT INSTRU is intended for manual disinfection and disinfecting pre-cleaning of all thermostable and thermolabile medical instruments, such as surgical and dental instruments and rigid endoscopes. Free from phenols, aldehydes and phosphates, with good cleaning properties and material compatibility.
It has a broad spectrum of bactericidal (incl. MRSA, VRE), mycobactericidal (incl. Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium terrae), fungicidal and yeasticidal activity, and is active against viruses (incl. HBV, HIV, HCV, Vaccinia, Noro and Rota) and spores (incl. Clostridium difficile). Suitable for hospitals, laboratories, dental clinics and other medical institutions, including ultrasonic baths.
Recommended dosage 0.25–1% (2.5–10 ml per 1000 ml of water) depending on required efficacy. Dilute in room-temperature water, e.g. 5 ml in 995 ml for a 0.5% solution. After use, disassemble instruments and immerse them fully in the working solution, avoiding bubbles; clean mechanically where required. After the time of effect, rinse thoroughly under running water of at least drinking-water quality.
