High-level disinfection and cleaning agent for medical instruments
CHEMIDES PULVER is a cleaning and disinfection agent for making a high-level disinfection solution for reusable medical devices, surfaces and instruments (endoscopes, bronchoscopes, laparoscopes, intubation tubes, anaesthesia devices).
It is a hygroscopic powder that dissolves completely in water. During dissolution, active oxygen is released and, together with an activator, forms peracetic acid, which has very strong disinfectant properties. The powder is environmentally safe, as it decomposes into water and oxygen.
Dissolve 17.5 g of powder (one dosing spoon) per litre of water. Mix thoroughly for 2–3 minutes and wait 15 minutes to activate the solution (30 minutes for high-level disinfection). Exposure time is 15 minutes.
Cleaning and disinfection: apply the solution to the surface or immerse objects, keep for the necessary time and rinse with sterile water if needed. Replace the solution daily or when its appearance changes; check activity with test strips.
High-level disinfection: fully immerse pre-cleaned objects, then rinse thoroughly under running water of at least drinking-water quality. Use freshly made solution for every cycle.
